Legal information
What this site places on your device. The short answer: nothing, as long as you do not log in.
If you read this site without logging into the newsroom area, it places no cookie on your device. None. That is why you saw no banner on arrival.
There is only one cookie, and it is set only when a newsroom member logs into the admin area. It therefore does not concern readers.
It contains a signed token with the account identifier and email address. These data are encoded, but not encrypted. The httpOnly protection prevents page scripts from reading this cookie. Logging out deletes it.
The site uses two small local memories. They never leave your browser: unlike a cookie, they are not sent to the server.
We keep three counters: visits per day, subscriptions to the calendar feed, and how many times each event was added to a personal calendar.
These are numbers, nothing else. We record no IP address, no browser, no session identifier: we know there were forty visits yesterday, and we are unable to say whose.
This site loads no third-party audience tool, no social-network pixel, no ad network. Partner visuals are plain images served from our own servers: they do not watch you.
Every browser lets you erase a site's cookies and local storage, and block them in future. The site keeps working without them: only the admin area will ask you to log in again.
You do not have to take our word for it: your browser's developer tools, under « Application » or « Storage », show exactly what is stored.
